Chief of Staff
Mark Sternman
As Chief of Staff, Mark Sternman manages the operations of Senator Keenan’s office, in addition to working on policy, communications, and the budget. He has also worked for two other state Senators and two members of Congress. Mark has a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and an M.I.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Legislative Director
Emerson Gagnon
As Legislative Director, Emerson Gagnon leads the development of policy positions and oversees all legislative initiatives on behalf of the Senator. He previously worked as an aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives for several years. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.

Constituent Services & District Director
Doreen Bargoot
As a longtime resident of the Wollaston area of Quincy, Doreen Bargoot brings a wealth of local experiences and knowledge to her role as Constituent Services and District Director. Providing immediate, empathetic assistance is one of her hallmarks. Doreen's knowledge of and connection to the people, places, and pulse of the Norfolk and Plymouth District positions her with unmatched care and concern for neighbors. Doreen holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations from Suffolk University.

Communications Director
Magnolia McComish
As Communications Director, Magnolia McComish serves as the primary point of contact for state and local journalists, and ensures information on what Senator Keenan is working on reaches constituents. She drafts and distributes press releases, the monthly newsletter, and creates engaging social media and digital content. Magnolia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Franklin Pierce University and is pursuing a master’s in public administration.

Legislative Aide
Elizabeth Duffin
As a Legislative Aide, Elizabeth Duffin assists with scheduling, constituent services, and manages Senator Keenan’s intern program. A lifelong resident of Braintree, she brings a strong connection to the district. Elizabeth graduated from Saint Anselm College with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and was highly involved with the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, where she promoted civic engagement initiatives and assisted in preparation for the New Hampshire presidential primary.
