The Bettor Health Act, Senator John F. Keenan’s (D-Quincy) bill to improve regulations surrounding sports betting, overcame a significant legislative hurdle on March 6. The new year saw the start of the second half of the 2025-2026 legislative session, and featured several interesting and outstanding district events.

With so much happening in the Norfolk & Plymouth District and on Beacon Hill, it felt like a good idea to keep constituents informed with a monthly newsletter. Each newsletter highlights our work on legislation, committees, and in the local community, as well as some of the other interesting topics that come through my office. Here‘s a rundown of some of the big things that were happening on Beacon Hill and in the Norfolk & Plymouth District during the month of December.

This November I was able to focus deeply on bills before the Senate and making progress on our Bettor Health Act. In a month filled with gratitude, I am thankful to be your State Senator and to serve such a remarkable district.
